Tell us about yourself and your company…
How did you get started ? What were you doing in a previous life ?
We were born and lived in Italy. Mariano worked as an Emergency Doctor but also specialized in complimentary medicine and travelled to study the ancient tradition of plants and flowers, whilst I looked after our 3 children. We run a “detox centre” for some years in Monte Faito and Mariano treated most patients with remedies and ointments he formulated only using natural ingredients; Results were very encouraging. We came to visit a friend in Cornwall in 1998 and fell in love with it straight away! We decided to move for a trial year…but here we still are! It was during our very first year that Mariano started again producing some creams and potions just for friends and one day a journalist discovered them and the rest is history!
Why natural / organic / sustainable?
These are our roots- why would you choose artificial chemicals over natural and effective ones when they really work? Because we don’t use any water in our skincare, no preservatives are needed which results in concentrated pure unaltered Nature. Sustainability is so important, today more than yesterday. We pride ourselves for sourcing the greenest packaging and materials. Trust me it’s not easy nor cheap; a lot of effort goes into the details of our eco-packaging. There is no planet B so let’s keep this one as it’s best.
What’s your USP? What sets you apart from your competitors?
Artisan-Luxury-Organic. Our products are still handmade in small batches by skin expert Dr Spiezia himself and his team of dedicated assistants . Dr Spiezia uses ancient alchemic techniques combined with his own to maximise the benefits of all the ingredients and creating effective, unique, chemical free products really fit for a Queen. Inlight skincare products work on the skin and with it. I think I can say that we have started a new Eco-Luxury movement.
What kind of feedback you have received from clients ?
Overwhelming! we started making skincare 16 years ago and still have customers who thank us for helping them, it’s the best drive you could ask for. Our Line Softener Intensive has proven – after a clinical trial – to reduce lines in just 26 days of use. Amazing achievement with a 100% organic and synthetic free product. I love one of our customer’s review that says: If you don’t want to botox your lines give Inlight Line Softener a try. Surely worth trying it!
What’s the next big launch / project coming up for you ?
Dr Spiezia is working on a Men’s range as well as Hair products and some very special “beauty teas”. it’s all very exciting!
What’s your big dream ?
To see people smiling more (leaving their wrinkles to me!) as happiness is the key to good health.
