My Verdict…In my opinion The Konjac Sponge is a powerfully effective answer to skin cleansing – a bit like having a mini facial every day and a great new addition to my bathroom.
These have been developed by the Japanese who have harnessed the power and benefits of the Konjac plant for centuries. They are made of 100% Natural Vegetable Fibre making them biodegradable – pop it in your compost or even in the bottom of a plant pot!
It refines the pores of your skin leaving it feeling smoother and looking healthier. Amazingly, it gently exfoliates, deeply cleanses AND removes water based makeup.
When our eyes have those dark circles or puffiness, the sponge can help cleanse that area and drain away excess fluid as well as remove old dead skin cells. No flannel or exfoliating scrub can usually get to this area as it is so delicate. It makes your skin look radiant & rejuvenated and is very suitable for sensitive skin types, even those with skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis.
You can use it on it’s own or with your preferred skin cleanser – if you do the latter, it will help the product work harder and will make it go further, so less product is required for each use.
To use it:
First soak and hydrate the sponge.
Then massage the skin in circular motions, concentrating on delicate or problem areas.
Rinse the sponge well after use, squeeze out any excess water (never twist or wring) and hang to dry in an airy/dry place.
Depending on the care the sponge will last approximately 3 months.
