Founded by Vicky, inspired by journeys and explorations to the four corners of the world, hand made using unrefined, nutritious ingredients, 60% sustainably sourced raw cacao nibs, stoneground together with other delicious ingredients, the brand uses unroasted Peruvian cacao and Palmyra Blossom Nectar to create award winning dairy-free, soy-free, and refined sugar-free bars, along with the Edesia cacao spread and various hot chocolate mixes.

The raw cacao nibs are stoneground together with special sweetener (with a low-GI status and naturally occurring Vitamin B12) Palmyra Blossom Nectar for around 30 hours. Whilst grinding, the mix is kept below 45 degrees centigrade to preserve as many nutrients as possible. Natural flavours are added at the end of the grinding process. The mix is hand tempered and then moulded into bars. This unusual method produces an incredibly smooth mixture which means that once they’ve been made into bars, they will melt in your mouth.

The flavour combinations at Meraki Cacao are unique and are not found anywhere else. Vicky’s passion for travel and exploring new places, inspire the flavour profiles. These aren’t just “chocolate bars”; they are stone-ground superfood experiences.

 

Edesia – roasted hazelnut-cacao spread

Edesia Cacao Spread

 

Gently roasted hazelnuts processed into nut butter, then stone ground together with raw Peruvian cacao powder and Palmyra blossom nectar.  After several hours it becomes a smooth paste with all the flavours beautifully blended together. Contains only three ingredients and is rich, deeply flavoured and totally delicious. Both indulgent and health- conscious, providing a more nutritious alternative to mainstream chocolate spreads by avoiding refined sugars and unnecessary additives. Enjoy on toast, pancakes, over fruit, yoghurt etc.

Ole Meraki Cacao

Stone ground raw organic Peruvian cacao nibs with other organic, nutritious ingredients, Palmyra blossom nectar the most nutritious sweetener available, this bar is inspired by trips to Spain. A classic orange flavoured bar with swirls of a raw caramel on the top. The caramel is not traditional and is made from raw tahini, providing a lovely nutty taste with a crunchy texture from the raw sesame seeds. Delicious, smooth with a  high proportion of antioxidant-giving cacao nibs.
