Let me ask you a question – would you go to any dentist in any town for your routine check-up? Are you happy to go to any hairdresser who has an appointment? The answer will be no! – we do business with those we like, know, and trust!

As customers we want to know if we can ‘like, know, and trust’ the companies we buy from, so in this series we ask the person behind some of my favourite natural and organic companies to step out into the spotlight.

It’s the turn of Richi Watson from LifeWell UK

Tell us about yourself and your company…

LifeWell UK has the modest intention of making genuine life-transforming experiences available to everyone. This means facilitating events throughout the year which provide accessible entry points into authentic and effective wellness guidance, as well as continued support on peoples transformational journeys. We have regular workshops with myself, Dr David Hamilton, Sandy Newbigging and David Saville to name a few, we host two of the UK’s most exciting transformational events ‘The Wellbeing Now Seminar’ and ‘The Heart Soul & Science Seminar’, and we have just launched what we believe is the ultimate 7 day transformation experience, the ‘Adventures into Freedom’ retreat amid the Sierra Espuna Mountains in southern Spain.

How did you get started?

I suffered with debilitating chronic illness throughout my childhood and deep into my twenties. Life was very tough, and to get through and beyond those challenges I needed to discover those resources within myself which most of us, most of the time aren’t connecting with, but which are there available to all of us. Once I’d overcome my health challenges and stepped into the most beautiful sense of inner freedom to experience life with, the natural next step was to share my experience in the hope it would be helpful for others. I was a little overwhelmed with how many people turned up to connect with what I was sharing and so I created LifeWell UK to help me reach far more people than I could alone.

What were you doing in a previous life?

Is this a ‘this life/previous life thing?’ I was always in and out of work due to my health, my first full time job was a bar job when I was 25. Because I felt like the luckiest person alive to be able to physically work the job, that energy of appreciation very quickly propelled me to becoming the manager of a massive leisure complex working for one of the biggest leisure company’s in Europe. I loved the opportunity to help people enjoy themselves and to exceed their expectations, but things got a little too corporate for me. Behind the scenes the focus was always on taking as much as possible and giving as little, and I felt more and more out of synch with that mentality. Then life stepped in to take me away from all that in the form of a big relapse of my health problems. Once I was back on my feet I knew exactly what direction I wanted to walk in – to be of service without any compromise on my own sense of integrity.

Why natural / organic / sustainable?

We are intrinsically and unavoidably connected to our environment. What we do to it, we do to ourselves. I am so excited by the natural and holistic business revolution we’re seeing. For me, conscious consumerism is the most powerful form of activism we have because the future will be financed into whatever shape it takes, and we have the choice which direction and shape our culture grows into by who it is we choose to spend our money with. Whose vision of the future we’re saying yes to day by day.

What’s your USP? What sets you apart from your competitors?

LifeWell UK is always a community first and a business second. I’m not passionate about business, I’m passionate about helping facilitate positive change. Creating a holistic business enterprise is a powerful way to leverage that positive influence, and to inspire others into wanting to do the same. Everything we do has that community spirit flowing through it, which is a big part of what makes our events the beautiful and powerful experiences they are.

What kind of feedback you have received from clients?

After our Heart Soul & Science Seminar one guest who suffered with severe anxiety and Fibromyalgia and had barely gone out for 8 years, shared how she had woken up the next morning after our event pain-free and feeling good for the first time in memory, she’s gone on to create huge changes in her life and has been updating us constantly. There’s so many stories like this one, there are no words for how blessed I feel to help facilitate those experiences.

What’s the next big launch / project coming up for you?

Last month I travelled to the Espuna national park in southern Spain with brilliant life coach David Saville to design a 7 day transformational retreat experience called ‘Adventures into Freedom’. We’ll be taking groups there starting spring 2017, and the journey we’ll be taking people on will change their lives forever. We’ll be guiding them beyond their fears and into a whole new dimension of life freedom, with all the tools and clarity they need to step into being the person they want to be and creating the life they want to live. David describes the retreat as ‘the last holiday you’ll ever need to go on’, as once people have had this experience they will be able to live their everyday life as the joy filled adventure it should be. It’s an all-inclusive, total immersion, life-changing retreat experience which is uniquely accessible in terms of cost. There’s nothing else like it available and it feels so good to be able to offer it.

What’s your big dream?

To have LifeWell facilitators working in every community around the UK, and then the world. I want to help as many people as I can to become free, healthy and happy. Free, healthy and happy people don’t hurt other people, they help, love and support each other to enjoy life and grow.

Where can we find you?
