As you may know I’m the current host of the Spotlight UK show on Hay House Radio and it’s brilliant to interview inspirational authors, if you were listening today we had a techy issue so it took a while to get our guest, former model Katie Wilcox on the line, but in the interim we had a nice off the cuff chat about living holistically and creating your own DIY skincare recipes.

I promised I’d upload a few here and of course there are masses more in my book ‘Look Great Naturally Without Ditching the Lipstick’.

Firstly I recommended using raw organic cold pressed coconut oil for just about anything, I love Tiana, its the purest, I’m not on commission!

Pore Cleansing Coconut Oil Exfoliant

4 teaspoons coconut oil

1 tablespoon live yoghurt

1 tablespoon coarse sea salt

Mix to a paste, apply and rinse of with water

For the Choccy version..

Add one tablespoon of raw organic cacao powder (all the indulgence without the guilt)

Remember I said I am a huge fan of facial oils and essential oils (always check for contraindications).

Anti-Ageing Facial Oil

50 ml Rosehip mixed with 50ml Wheatgerm oil

2 drops Lavender oil

2 drops Rose oil

1 drop Frankincense

Thanks to Marley and Monika who called in, lovely tips for Mango Butter (will def try!) and colour energy, on that note I highly recommend the therapeutic oils from Aura Soma, beautiful colours.
