The Emotional Wellbeing therapist and coach Rosalyn Palmer likes to refer to herself as ‘The Screwed up Therapist’ or ‘Accidental Therapist’.  She trained as a therapist in her 50s after a long career in marketing and PR (latterly as Head of Marcomms for International Charity The Leprosy Mission). She has a passion for supporting marginalised people and offers pro bono sessions to those who cannot afford her normal therapy investment. At the time when her life looked its most amazing, while running her Award Winning PR company RPPR in London, and living in a huge house with all the trappings of success, she was exhausted and unhappy.

She turned to many positive things such as acupuncture, Ayurvedic medicine, meditation, therapy and retreats to fix the pain and discomfort …but also to many not so healthy ways of escaping including bulimia, an over dependence on alcohol, shopping and shutdown.  Two years after thinking she had dodged a bullet by selling her PR company and moving with her family to the Bahamas, she developed cancer and life and the price she had paid for stress and overwhelm finally caught up with her.

It was a staging post at which time she was asking ‘What next?’ and synchronicity led to receipt of an email from celebrity hypnotherapist and award winning therapy pioneer Marisa Peer inviting her to train for the new Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT is a combination of Clinical Hypnotherapy, NLP, CBT and Psychotherapy). Having a grounding in NLP and hypnotherapy from the 90s and having had so much therapy herself Rosalyn thought “Why not”.

Rosalyn became not only a therapist but also a trainer and mentor to others, developing her unique 60 day transformation programme ‘Trust Transformation’ that combines deep healing of RTT with the supportive guidance of coaching and counselling from Rosalyn. The powerful combination deals with both the conscious / analytical mind and the subconscious mind so that past blocks are removed, and a new, empowering future focus is developed and installed. Rosalyn has transformed the lives of hundreds of clients, both face to face and via Zoom, as at least 70% of her client base is International, and she is one of the most sought-after Advanced RTT practitioners worldwide.

Rosalyn has been a guest on ‘The Girls Around Town’ radio show on Radio Newark to speak about her life and experiences, and was offered a presenters role at the end of the programme, she now co-hosts as the wellbeing expert covering topics on physical and emotional wellbeing including menopause, depression, digestive health, sleep, self-esteem, overwhelm, career changes, yoga and more.

She’s a regular columnist at the The Newark Advertiser and her advice features regularly in many publications, including most recently Psychology in Practice and online magazine Henpicked. She has featured on the Janey Lee Grace show and on UK Property Radio, and has appeared as a featured guest on six major podcasts in 2019 alone.

Author of the award-winning self-help book: ‘Reset! A Blueprint for a Better Life’, Rosalyn makes emotional wellbeing accessible to all. She is also a co-author of Amazon No.1 bestselling self-help books ‘Ignite Your Life for Women’ and ‘Ignite Your Female Leadership’.

Says Marisa Peer in the preface to Palmer’s book Reset! A Blueprint for a Better Life:

“Rosalyn has lived a life, where on the outside, it has looked amazing and enviable yet on the inside it has been a struggle. The life lessons and wisdom she has gained in her interesting and connected life has taught her that changing your attitude begins as something you do and then becomes who you are. I met Rosalyn in the 90s, we have stayed in touch and remained friends all these years and I knew her experiences and her wisdom could make an excellent therapist. That is why I invited her to my very first RTT training and why she is now one of my top trainers and therapists. She now helps others to live happy, full lives free from pain.”

Here is a simple exercise from her book ‘Reset! A Blueprint for a Better Life’ about living a life of balance and wealth:

The wonderful way to check daily if you are living a whole and balanced life is to think about the fingers of one hand. You have five fingers so you need always 5Fs. These comprise: Faith, Fitness, Family, Friends and Finance. It is like an amazing compassionate To Do list when you stretch out your hand each morning and check in against each category. Ask yourself: ‘What will I do today to build my faith in myself? What actions will I take to be fit in body and mind, even for 10 minutes? How can I connect with my family today? Which friend shall I reach out to and make time for? What steps shall I take to allow the flow of energy that is money and reward flow to me?

Each week you can take time to dig a little deeper. On a scale of 1 – 10 (with 10 being the absolute best place to be) rank this in your life right now. Perhaps it is a 6/10 or a 7? Once you have this score, ask yourself ‘what would be my overarching goal here, if I were to create the health of my dreams? To be a 10/10?’. Perhaps this would be something like ‘If I were totally fit then I’d have more energy, feel better about my body so be sexier and love life better’. T his is getting to your ‘why’ so now ask yourself ‘Why is it important for me to have better, uncompromised health?’. The answers here could be to do with what you want (such as feeling sexy) and what you don’t want, such as having to take time off work as you keep picking up colds, or being unable to go on long walks as your back hurts too much.

Repeating this exercise across all the five categories will then give you a values list that is true to you and that moves you to want to live by these values or improved them. Keep it handy and remind yourself of it daily.

Oh and how about an extra finger of fun! Add Fun as a 6t h Fs. You deserve it!

What others say about Rosalyn…

After interviewing guests from the San Francisco book launch in May, 2019, one of the most memorable experiences that the authors shared with me, and each other, was the RTT sessions with Rosalyn Palmer. This group of authors were transformed by Rosalyn’s ability to bring them to a deep consciousness to connect with their thoughts, feelings and emotions allowing them to open up to the idea of growth and what it means to learn from and help others. The RTT sessions were a reminder that self care can be pivotal to achieving mindful success both personally and professionally. We are truly grateful to Rosalyn for her commitment to excellence in this service to our greater community of global change makers.

I appreciate that her abilities better the lives of those she touches with such meaningful use of her knowledge, devotion and sincerity –  Dianna Ashworth, Impact Manager, Ignite Book Series

After the session with Rosalyn, the change in me was almost instant, and quite unbelievable at first. My family were truly amazed by how different I was in such a short period of time – only 1 session. Friends have asked who this changed person is.

I am now much more confident, relaxed, my mind is peaceful most of the time. I am optimistic and excited about my future, and now have a very strong belief that I can realise many of the goals that I have dreamt about for a long time – I just needed to believe in the skills and experience I already had – Andy P, Derby

I didn’t really know what to expect from the hypnotherapy session and I probably didn’t expect to be able to say, “you changed my life”, but that’s literally what happened. It’s not just about the weight loss, which is impressive in itself, but my whole outlook on food, my body and life itself has changed for the better. I actually look forward to eating less and making healthier food choices and I even look forward to exercise and getting in shape! Most importantly the session and the recording really nailed the emotional reasons underlying the weight retention – after the therapy they just aren’t there anymore. It’s quite amazing. I can’t recommend you enough – Tim H. London

I had one session of RTT, I felt different when I left, but couldn’t really explain why. I continued to feel a shift over the coming weeks. The telling moment for me was when I was sent through work to attend an incident 100 yards from the place I’d been to and experienced the abuse at 35 years ago. Previously this would have knocked me for six, but I felt calm, in control and it had no effect on me whatsoever. If you are struggling, or stuck or just unable to find peace I’d urge you to make contact with Rosalyn today – Nic, Newark
