Appropo to nothing related to health and wellbeing, other than perhaps…laughter is the best medicine!
Seen my latest madness? I need to prove if one can still dance sober!! I’ve Signed Up for a Dance Competition (Help!) There are moments in life when you ask yourself: “What was I thinking?” (approximately five seconds after I committed to performing in Strictly Come Hospice – a Strictly-style dance competition at the Watersmeet Theatre in Herts this January)
The last time I danced on stage was a panto performance many years ago where I managed to catch my harem pants in my heels mid-sashay and went, quite spectacularly, head over heels across the stage? My kids still laugh about it.
So while my dance credentials in recent years might be dubious , the cause behind this whole endeavour is absolutely rock-solid. I’m doing this to raise funds for Rennie Grove Peace Hospice in Hertfordshire, an organization that provides extraordinary care and support to patients and families during the most challenging times of their lives.
We have fabulous pro tutors who work on the real Strictly teaching us, so cheer me on! Rennie Grove Peace Hospice does vital work in our community, and they need an eye watering amount of money to keep going..
