Founder of Crossip Carl Anthony Brown, is an industry and media renowned cocktail expert featuring on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch regularly and on ITV’s This Morning. With 16 years in hospitality, skills in the development of beverages, brands and operations of the bar industry and winner of the prestigious ‘Young British Foodie’ award, Carl has put all of his experience and skills together to generate something special with Crossip.
It was Carl’s passion and dedication for cycling and rugby that requires peak physical form, combined with his love for cocktails and socialising that inspired him to create a cocktail base that could be enjoyed in so many ways and didn’t come with the negative connotations of alcohol. He wanted a unique recipe with the ultimate sensory experience and Carl literally locked himself in a dark room at times, trialling different spices, botanicals and flavours to optimise a taste with deep layers, and an element of sophistication.
Carl has created a team around him with drinks industry & corporate experience to take Crossip to the next level. The Crossip team completely share Carl’s passions that “not drinking” is not just a one-off, it’s a way of life, it’s about health and wellbeing but also maintaining your social life.
All Crossip drinks are 0% alcohol and made with botanical ingredients that are known for their health benefits. Each ingredient chosen to maximise taste whilst also providing a little bit of good. All three signature flavours contain a core base of: Eucalyptus, Ginger, Cayenne, Gentian and Glycerine.
Gentian contains cancer-fighting compounds and is used to relieve indigestion, loss of appetite, and heartburn. Glycerine may offer health benefits, such as moisturised and resilient skin, relief from constipation, improved hydration and better physical performance.
The signature range includes 3 unique fusions: Pure Hibiscus has unique floral notes of hibiscus, cubeb and rhubarb. This complex, bitter liquid finishes with wormwood and cayenne for lots of body and a long after taste, inspired by Italian bitters and aperitifs. Due to the depth and intensity of flavour only a small amount is needed to create a great drink. PURE is the perfect 0% option for a Negroni or Spritz.
Dandy Smoke is luxurious, meaty & smoky with lapsang and top notes of pine, inspired by dark spirits, such as mezcal, whiskey and rum. the body comes through with a deep fruit, cinnamon and clove. Finishing with spice notes of ginger, chilli and nutmeg. DANDY is especially good for Sour cocktails or with Cola & a squeeze of lime.
Fresh Citrus is inspired by fruity botanical spirits, such as gin and flavored vodka. It’s a bright fusion of citrus, herb and spice with top notes of mandarin and eucalyptus. The body evolves into a multiplex of citrus, orange, lemon and grapefruit. The finishing notes are of fiery ginger and a subtle bitterness. FRESH is especially good in a Mojito, Cosmo or just with Tonic!
