Their beautiful soaps are lovingly handmade in small batches, made using the traditional cold process method combining oils that are natural and nourishing for your skin, such as avocado oil, olive oil, shea butter and coconut oil, along with exquisite essential oils chosen for their fragrance whether citrus, floral, uplifting, calming… and botanicals and clays for colour. Their soaps smell amazing, are vegan friendly and take care of your skin without any toxic nasties added, no artificial colours or fragrances are used at any stage of the process. All their skin care recipes are safety assessed by a qualified cosmetic chemist and they are a member of the Guild of Craft Soap and Toiletry Makers.
They are indeed experts at soap, but they also have a full skin and body collection including a great Lavender and Rosemary shampoo bar that is environmentally friendly, minimal waste, great fragrance and super effective cleansing that can last up to 3 times longer than your regular bottle of shampoo!
Their solid hand cream bars are a lovely novelty, they also do a great job of nourishing dry and needy skin. They come in cute little tins (great for travelling), in a range of aromatic fragrances, and they also do a foot bar in refreshing peppermint which is perfect for cooling and keeping feet fresh. Himalayan bath salts that will de-stress, nourish and relax you, and beautiful bath truffles that look as pretty as a picture (they offer these as mini wedding favours and they are truly beautiful!). They have a beautiful range of hand poured candles using 100% natural Soy Wax and delicious Body balms to soothe and hydrate. Such is their passion for making soap that they also run traditional soap making workshops in their premises in Kent where you can learn the art and leave with the most gorgeous vegan-friendly gifts. They run ‘The Happy Soapers Club’ a soap subscription service, supporting the environment as always by using minimal packaging with compostable labels, and they use Royal Mail for deliveries since they are doing their rounds anyway!
The Kentish Soap Company really do care about what they are creating, and how they can impact and help others. They are a supporting member of the Kent Wildlife Trust, which works to protect local wildlife and wild habitats in Kent, and they also work with The Hygiene Bank Rochester, donating as much of their products as they can to support people in crisis and those struggling on low income. Further afield, they support the Salaam Baalak Trust in Delhi, India, which is a non-profit and non-governmental organisation working to help, educate and create a secure environment for children working and living on the streets.
